Efficient vegetation management on ski slopes
The S9 base flail mower can be mounted on hydraulic vehicles such as snowcats (snow groomers) and ensures efficient and optimal slope preparation well before the winter season.
Since mulching grass, bushes, and coarse vegetation creates a perfectly even surface, significantly less snow depth is required in winter.
In many cases, the required snow cover can be reduced from an original 70–80 cm to about 30 cm. This means significant savings in:

Thistles and plants that are avoided by grazing animals can also be efficiently mulched. This keeps alpine areas well-maintained and more usable.
Designed for demanding applications
Thanks to its robust, wear-resistant construction, the powerful flail mower is not only suitable for landscape, grassland, and slope maintenance, but can also be used for light forestry work. It reliably mulches grass, brush, corn stubs, and wood up to 9 cm in diameter.
The S9 base is made of high-strength steel, making it particularly robust and durable. Inside the housing, WEAR PLATES provide additional protection for high-stress areas. This significantly reduces wear and ensures a long service life as well as reliable performance in daily use.
The patented HELIX ROTOR with forged, self-sharpening SMO flails ensures smooth operation, requires little power, and delivers a particularly clean mulching result.
The housing contains hardened counter cutters—the so-called COUNTER CUTTERS—for optimal shredding. Since they are replaceable, the high mulching quality is maintained over the long term even under heavy use.
With the M-FLAP discharge hood, the degree of mulching can be easily adjusted without tools.
For maximum stability, the S9 base features a reinforced support roller with a robust 4D-ROLLER bearing system, which ensures smooth and reliable operation even on uneven terrain.
The hydraulic version is equipped with a highly efficient PISTON MOTOR. This operates with very high efficiency and delivers reliable performance even under demanding operating conditions.
